Rob Baker

Rob Baker
Rob is a recovery-focused group facilitator and peer support professional specializing in substance use disorder, mental health recovery, and co-occurring challenges. His work is centered on creating safe, grounded, and nonjudgmental spaces where individuals can build insight, accountability, resilience, and practical recovery skills.
Rob brings a unique perspective to this work through his background in law enforcement, where he spent years serving in high-stress and trauma-exposed environments. That experience shaped his understanding of addiction, crisis, trauma, and the systemic barriers often faced by justice-involved and marginalized individuals. Today, he applies that perspective with intention, ethics, and compassion, focusing on healing, empowerment, and long-term change.
Rob holds multiple peer and recovery certifications, including Certified Peer Support Specialist, Certified Recovery Support Practitioner, and Certified First Responder Associate. He has training in trauma-informed care, relapse prevention, crisis de-escalation, resilience building, emotional regulation, and stress management. He is also a Certified Resiliency Officer, with a strong commitment to supporting individuals in recovery as well as professionals working in high-impact helping roles.
His facilitation style balances compassion with accountability. Rob believes recovery is strengthened through connection, honesty, structure, and practical tools—not judgment, shame, or control. He is especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating early recovery, co-occurring mental health concerns, justice involvement, burnout, and major life transitions.
