Kim Shjarback, MS, LAC

Kim Shjarback is a Licensed Associate Counselor with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University. She is also a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor Intern, expanding her ability to support individuals affected by substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns.

Kim finds deep meaning in helping others and considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients on their journey toward healing and growth. She believes that anyone can change and is passionate about empowering individuals to see the best in themselves. Kim is committed to creating a safe, compassionate space where clients feel heard, supported, and encouraged to recognize their own strength and potential. With warmth, empathy, and genuine care, she meets each person with respect and a deep belief in their capacity to thrive.

Outside of her work as a counselor, Kim is most proud of her role as an aunt. She wants her nieces to grow up feeling deeply loved, free to express themselves, and confident in growing into their own unique personalities. She is also passionate about animals and shares her home with two beloved rescue dogs who bring her joy and unconditional love every day.
